Photography mentoring, One-on-One.

Spend a day (9AM to 4PM with a lunch included, other hours can be arranged if you prefer) learning the aspects of photography of most interest to you from a half century practitioner. The possibilities are endless: exposure including the Zone System, equipment recommendations, camera handling, digital vs film, software for processing digital images using Lightroom, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro. We can discuss composition, cataloging of images, advanced digital techniques with layers and masking. The choice is yours (Sorry, but instruction in wet darkroom technique is not currently available).

Jim has been photographing for over 50 years. He was trained as a professional (New York Institute of Photography and the US Army Signal Center and School of Photography). He has taught photography in various settings including one-on-one mentoring like this opportunity. One person he recently mentored characterized Jim’s knowledge of photography as “encyclopedic”. He continues to work as a landscape and nature photographer, primarily in the Adirondacks.
